Celebrate Henry Ford’s Birthday at Edison and Ford Winter Estates
FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 25, 2025) — On July 30, Edison and Ford Winter Estates will celebrate Henry Ford’s 162nd birthday with a special automotive tour and museum presentation.

The presentation will take place in the museum at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will cover Ford and his family visits to their winter estate, “the Mangoes.” Assistant program manager, Tim Snyder will unveil Ford’s legacy, his lasting impact on the City of Fort Myers, and how visitors continue to be attracted to the motor magnates’ winter estate. The presentation is included with all admission tickets.
James Moss, the Estates’ automotive curator will give a special automotive tour from 12-1:30 p.m. This guided tour focuses on the unique vehicle collection, the history of the cars and how they operate. Tickets are: $15 for Edison Ford members, $40 for non-member adults, $30 for teens (ages 13-19), $16 for children (ages 6-12), and free for children 5 and under. Admission for this tour allows visitors to also see the museum, laboratory and riverside of the property. Tickets for this tour must be purchased at the ticket counter, and guests are encouraged to arrive early since this tour typically sells out.
Additional tour options include the self-guided tour, which includes a narrated app and map for visitors to stroll around the site at their own pace. Guided tours, led by site historians are offered several times per day. Tickets for self-guided tours may be purchased on the website at EdisonFord.org or at the ticket counter. Guided tour tickets are only sold at the ticket counter.
