Volunteer opportunities include
Retail/Museum Store: Volunteers assist with pricing, stocking, and customer service. Volunteer positions are available in the Museum Store, Ford Cottage Shoppe and the Edison Ford Shoppe at Bell Tower Shops.
Retail/Garden Shoppe: Volunteers assist visitors with information on plants for sale and stock the Garden Shoppe area.
Nursery/Horticulture: Volunteers assist with various gardening tasks including potting, propagation, watering and basic care of plants under the direction of Edison Ford Horticulturists.
Special Projects: Volunteers are needed to assist staff with mailings and putting together packets.
Special Events: If you enjoy events, volunteers are needed to assist staff with meetings, programs, public events, weddings and receptions.
Tour Docent: Volunteers lead guided interpretive tours for school and visitor groups.
Laboratory Docent: Lab volunteers present an interpretive program in the Edison Botanic Research Lab to visitors.
Museum Docent: Docents greet visitors, answer questions about the museum exhibits, play the phonograph and give demonstrations.
Porch Docent: Porch Docents present historical information and answer visitor’s questions about Edison Ford history.
Holiday Nights: Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of tasks during Edison Ford Holiday Nights.
