Garden talks are informative, drop-in sessions, where members of our horticulture team address a single plant species:
- Saturday, January 10, 2025 at 10:00 am – Learn about the genus Platycerium, which includes non-native plants commonly called Staghorn Ferns. There are 18 species of Platyceriums and one is native to the Americas, while the others originate in the Indochina/Australia/Africa regions. Learn why all so-called Staghorn Ferns are not the same; how to be a responsible grower/caretaker and their nearly 100-year-old history here at Edison and Ford Winter Estates.
- Saturday, March 14, 2025 at 10:00 am – Introduction to Succulent Gardening
