Drawing from his book, Florida Soul: From Ray Charles to K.C. and the Sunshine Band, John Capouya will play classic R & B, show vintage and contemporary photos of soul greats, and share his research into this important musical history in a presentation that is entertaining and educational.
Capouya teaches journalism and non-fiction narrative at the University of Tampa. He is the author of three books and his book Florida Soul: From Ray Charles to K.C. and the Sunshine Band will be available. Members receive a 10% discount on all book sales. After the talk, Capouya will be available for book signings.
