Join us as science and history come alive in the “living laboratory” of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily! The space race is on! In this session, campers will learn about our solar system and all the unique elements that define how it operates. Students will also learn about the forces of flight and elements in the atmosphere that must be considered when building a rocket. At the end of the camp, students will put their skills to the test and launch their completed rockets! Masks will be required for students. To register and review the protocols for these programs, please our website at edisonford.org.
Campers are led by Edison Ford instructors, called “Wild Wizards” who teach topics in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), history and the natural world. The cost of this camp is $200 for Edison Ford members and $230 for non-members.
Thank you to our 2021 summer camp sponsors: Captains for Clean Water, Entech, Fred and Gingy Quinn, Panther Printing, TriCircle Pavers, and Scientists’ Society of Southwest Florida! Our sponsors make it possible to provide scholarships to students in need, purchase necessary materials and supplies, and upgrade to cutting edge equipment.
