Edison Ford Clothesline Quilt Show


Airing of the Quilts at Edison Ford

10am – 2pm on the Ford estate grounds

     Coinciding with the re-opening of the Ford property for guided tours, the annual “Airing of the Quilts” and Clothesline Quilt Show will take place. Dozens of quilts from the Southwest Florida Quilters’ Guild will be on display, suspended from clotheslines between historic trees. Antique quilts will also be on display, and Quilters’ Guild participants will have quilts available for sale. Mr. & Mrs. Edison and Mr. & Mrs. Ford will be available for great photo opportunities! This event is included with general admission.

      Cost: Adults $20; Teens $15; Children $13 (children 5 and under free). Edison Ford Members FREE.

      Did you know? Henry Ford and his wife, Clara, collected quilts and other historical objects that were created and used by ordinary people from all across the United States. The quilts were often made from modest scraps of material which demonstrated the resourcefulness of American women.
