Holiday Nights Special Events at Edison Ford
FORT MYERS, Fla. (December 6, 2016) -- Holiday Nights at Edison & Ford Winter Estates continues now through January 1, 2017 each night from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
New this year, is a Waltzing Waters lighted water fountain display, a special Holiday Tea with the Edisons and Fords on December 14 and artist Marie Dyer will demonstrate painting techniques on December 9, 10 and 16.

For children, artist Doug MacGregor will be onsite drawing cartoons on December 10, and Santa will be visiting on December 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. Children are invited to come make holiday crafts on December 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22 and 23 at 6:00 p.m. On December 17 there will be a Breakfast with Santa at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Santa and the Edison Wild Wizards will also perform a special holiday science show.

Adults and children alike can enjoy the Children's Tree Trail -- a collection of more than 60 trees decorated with handmade ornaments from Lee County school children.
Live music performances include St. Francis Xavier Catholic School Chorus on December 9, Mariner High School Guitar on December 10, and the Leehan Carolers on December 17, 22 and 23.

The Edison Ford Museum and Botanic Research Laboratory, as well as the Ford Cottage Shoppe, Museum Store and Garden Shoppe are open until 9 p.m. every night and refreshments are available for purchase.

Guided Holiday Tradition Tours are offered at 6 and 7 p.m. nightly and Inside-the-Homes Holiday Tours on December 13, 20 and 27 at 6:30 p.m. A sightseeing river cruise and sunset cruise are offered through Pure Florida at the Marina at Edison Ford. 

Holiday Nights tickets for adults are $20, teens (13-19) $10, children (6-12) are $2 and Edison Ford members get in free. Guided Holiday Tradition Tours are $30 for adults, teens are $25, children $18 and $10 for Edison Ford members. Inside-the-Homes Holiday Tours are $50.

Lee County residents will receive $5 off an adult or teen ticket on December 30 and 31 and January 1.

Edison Ford is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Edison Ford has been awarded the National Stewardship Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It is an official project of “Save America’s Treasures," a Florida Historic Landmark and a National Register Historic Site. Recently, the Edison Botanical Laboratory was designated as a National Historic Chemical Landmark.
