Volunteer Meeting and Program - With Art Conservator Jeremy Fogg
● February 21, 10:00 a.m. - Art Conservator, Jeremy Fogg - Lecture Hall in South Florida Water Management
Join Jeremy Fogg, Art Conservator, Art Researcher, and Studio Manager for Anthony Moore Conservation York, Maine; a company specializing in the conservation andrestoration of oil paintings from early religious icons to old master works, 19th century American and European paintings and modern art. Fogg will be speaking about the conservation of oil paintings and examining an Edison Ford painting.
After restoring many paintings by renowned American Impressionist and Boston School of Art Artist, Edmund C. Tarbell, Fogg curated the Portsmouth Historical Society’s exhibit, Illuminating Tarbell: Life and Art on the Piscataqua, at The Discover Portsmouth Center Portsmouth, NH. In May, a painting rolled up for nearly a century, “Woman With an Oar and a Gentleman,” was added to the show after months of restoration work by Fogg and Anthony Moore Conservation Studio. It was found in the Tarbell family archives and is the twin of a smaller Tarbell painting that is part of the White House Collection.
