Register students now for upcoming Homeschool and Emerging Inventors Classes!



1st - 3rd Grades: 9:00-11:00 a.m.; 4th - 6th Grades: 1:00-3:00 p.m.

This Friday, February 12th there will be two homeschool education classes at Edison Ford. The morning class will run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the afternoon class will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students should meet in the museum for registration and then move to the Edison Caretaker's classroom. 

Edison & Ford Winter Estates offers a unique opportunity for home school families to learn science and history by exploring many Edison inventions in fields ranging from electricity to movies. Each session follows the Next Generation Florida Sunshine State Standards (Common Core). 

In this class, students will learn about the forces and Newton’s laws of motion, the fundamentals of Physics. They will be introduced to the concepts of physics and apply them to experiments with Legos.

  • Edison Ford Members:  $15 (one adult; one child) 
  • Non-members:  $25 (one adult, one child) 
  • Each additional child is $15


Then, next Thursday, February 18th the Emerging Inventors class will be offered from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Students will join in the fun to read a LEGO story and build animals, a number train, and rockets! 

Classes will meet in the museum for registration and then move to the Edison Caretakers classroom. The Edison Ford Emerging Inventors Early Learning Program is for children age one through pre-kindergarten an their parents, grandparents and other family members. The program includes socializing with others, education activities, story time, singing, crafts and exploring the homes, gardens and museum.

  • Edison Ford Non Members: $15 (one adult; one child) Each Additional Child:  $5
