Edison & Ford Winter Estates to Host Annual Edison Garden Festival 
Free Public Event

FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 13, 2015) -- Edison & Ford Winter Estates will host the Annual Edison Garden Festival on Nov. 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Nov. 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dozens of vendors from all over the state of Florida will have thousands of exotic and tropical plants and trees, along with garden art and supplies for sale. This family event will include a children's activity area, where kids will make flower pots, corn husk dolls, bookmarks and wrapping paper. Admission is free and there is no charge for parking. The children's activities will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. 


Vendors will have palms, vegetables, bromeliads, hibiscus, butterfly plants, African violets, orchids, air plants, herbs, succulents, cactus and many hard-to-find species, as well as garden supplies and gift items, including mulch, trellises, pottery, cut flowers, hats and jewelry for sale. The local 4-H club will have flower and vegetable seeds for sale. 

This year's vendors include A lot on My Plate, B. Keith Councell Honey, Budsalot, Calusa Palms Nursey,Daylily Mac, Draper 
Underwood, Dusty Holmes, Elting's Exotic Plants, Exotic Hibiscus Butterfly Farm, Fort Myers Garden Council, Four Sisters Foliage, 
George Griepenburg, Green Leaf Worm Farm, Hats of Madagascar, Rick Joyce, Judy's Jungle, Lee County Master Gardeners, Kathy Lockwood, Lisa McQueen, MW Horticulture Recycling, Peacock Cottage, Popcorn-Anthony's, Terri's Treasures, Twisted Acres, The Rege Malone, Tropiflora, True Lyes, and Vegheads 4-H Club. 

Also, on Saturday, Nov. 21, the Fort Myers-Lee County Garden Council will conduct tours of the Berne Davis Gardens at 10:00 a.m. and noon. They will have a table with garden clubs and plant society information. Visitors are encouraged to bring their garden questions for the Lee County Master Gardeners "Ask the Expert."
